Manager Discusses Crystal Palace TieGary Bowyer says Blackpool's EFL Cup second round tie at Crystal Palace is one that he and his players will relish.
The Seasiders, who recorded a 4-2 victory against Bolton Wanderers to set up the fixture, will test themselves against the Premier League outfit w/c 22 August.
"First and foremost, it's a brilliant draw for us because it's against a Premier League team," the manager said. "I'm all about testing yourself against the best and Alan Pardew is a fabulous manager and it will be great to go up against him.
"For our players to play against Premier League players, it will be a great night for us. I do feel sorry a little bit for our supporters because of the distance they'd have to travel midweek, though."
Every Blackpool player will no doubt want to be involved at Selhurst Park and whoever is selected will be backed to put in a strong showing, as Tuesday's cup heroics displayed.
"We spoke about before the game the size of the squad and the impact that the squad could have this season, and we would answer some questions after the game on that. The players that came in certainly did answer the questions and it shows the togetherness that the group has got so quickly, which from my point of view was really pleasing," Bowyer added.
