Match Preview: Brackley Town (H)

2 December 2016

Pool In FA Cup Action

Fixture | Blackpool vs Brackley Town
Date | 3 December 2016
Venue | Bloomfield Road

Preview
Victory over Brackley Town would see Blackpool through to the third round of the Emirates FA Cup and begin December on a positive note.

The Seasiders ended November in the play-off spots and face two cup ties in the space of four days before the taxing Christmas period.

Pool progressed passed Kidderminster Harriers of the National League North in round one and now face a Brackley side of the same division, but they’ve lost just twice all season.

Recent Form
Blackpool cruised past Newport County by a three-goal margin last week to return to the League Two play-off spots. That win rounded off a strong November, which also included victories over Kidderminster, Notts County and Leyton Orient.

Brackley beat League One Gillingham after a replay in the first round, with Jimmy Armson claiming a hat-trick in a 4-3 win. They currently sit three points outside the play-offs in the league but have played the fewest amount of games.

Team News
Gary Bowyer may have to do without Colin Daniel and Kelvin Mellor after the pair were withdrawn with injuries last weekend. He’ll also hope the free week will have allowed his squad to recover from a number of bumps and bruises.
