Seasiders On The Road

Fixture | Hartlepool United vs Blackpool
Date | 26 December 2016
Venue | Victoria Park

Preview
Blackpool head to Hartlepool on Boxing Day hoping to make it a merry Christmas with three points on the road.

Looking to bounce back from defeat to Luton Town last week, The Seasiders know three points will give them a chance of returning to the play-off positions.

Gary Bowyer’s men have won two of their last three away games in League Two and have their injury list clearing ahead of the busy festive period.

They’ll hope to have a fully-fit squad when facing a Hartlepool side who are without a goal in their last four matches.

Recent Form
The Seasiders were beaten 2-0 by Luton Town - just a second defeat in 12 matches. They’ve recently won at Leyton Orient and Stevenage however, as their away form continues to improve.

Hartlepool sit two points above the drop zone but picked up a useful point a Portsmouth last time out. Last time on home soil they were hammered 5-0 by Cambridge United.

Team News
Mark Yeates will miss out with a calf injury, while Colin Daniel will be assessed having returned to training. Kelvin Mellor, Michael Cain and Jack Redshaw have returned from illness to be in contention.

Hartlepool welcome back defender James Martin from a knee injury. Rob Jones, Carl Magnay and Nathan Thomas remain sidelined.
