Striker Determined To Get BetterUche Ikpeazu hopes some extra practice on the training ground with Richie Kyle pays off, as he looks to hit top form for Blackpool.
The striker, currently on loan from Watford, is determined to keep developing and understands what's required to fulfill his potential.
"I stay out on the training pitch working hard with Richie Kyle and he’s been brilliant with me, helping me to work on my finishing which I appreciate. I’m trying to develop my skills and I feel as though Blackpool haven’t seen the best of my yet at all,” said Ikpeazu, who scored six goals on loan at Port Vale earlier this season.
“I’m doing a lot to try and improve myself, in terms of my finishing, my first touch in and around the box and my link-up play. It’s getting better but I still need to keep working hard.”
An imposing presence, it's easy to dismiss the forward's age when watching him in action, however he only marked his 21st birthday yesterday.
"Because I’m so big people overlook my age, but I want to be a top player as quick as I can. I know I can make my game better and push further on," he admitted.
"I’ve played a lot of games but I still need to develop, and you only get better by playing games. There are still things I can do and I know that the best is yet to come. I’m just waiting on my opportunity."
Ikpeazu will be part of a Blackpool squad looking to get back on track at Chesterfield tomorrow, and he draws on previous experience when targeting some big results.
"I just hope that we can get further away from the relegation zone. I have plenty of experience of this situation from when I was at Crewe, every game is important and we need to try and win a few on the bounce and maintain our performances," he added.
