Returning to full fitness, Martin Paterson is set to provide a further striking option to Neil McDonald in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since December but is eyeing a return sooner rather than later and answered our ten quick questions.

If you were the dressing room DJ, what three songs would be on your pre-match playlist?
Meatloaf – Bat Out Of Hell, Tom Jones – Delilah and Thin Lizzy – The Boys Are Back In Town.

What is your favourite piece of football memorabilia that you own?
My promotion medal from Burnley. It’s tucked away at the bottom of the wardrobe, I haven’t got round to casing it yet. 

What is your favourite away stadium to play at?
It’s probably the Emirates Stadium, that’s the nicest stadium of all of them.  

What is the biggest name in your phonebook?
Kaka. I’ve got him on WhatsApp.  

What can you remember about your first job?
Stoke City apprenticeship and we used to have to clean up all over the place.

To date, what is your most embarrassing moment in football? 
I missed a sitter at Cardiff for Stoke, it was a half open goal.

What is the best sporting event that you’ve watched live?
When Stoke beat Bolton at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final.  

What were your first pair of football boots?
Black Asics blades. 

What TV series are you addicted to currently?
The Blacklist.  

Including yourself, what four players in world football would be in your 5-a-side team?
Jack Butland, Ryan Shawcross, Jon Walters and Peter Crouch.
