Manager On Current ProgressNeil McDonald says current form shows that Blackpool are pointing in the right direction, even though there is plenty of work still to do.
The Seasiders, who face Oldham Athletic this weekend, are unbeaten in four matches and have taken eight points from a possible 12.
Transition was always going to take time following an influx of new players in the summer, yet signs are promising with 17 fixtures remaining this season.
"We know our roles and responsibilities a lot, lot better than we did seven months ago as a brand new team," the manager said.
"We're still a young team. still learning and we've still got a lot to do, but we look as though we're pointing in the right direction. We must keep in that direction as much as we possibly can over the next few games."
Recent form and a bit of early transfer business has left the manager satisfied with his squad options, though moves in the loan window remain open to him.
"The squad is much stronger than it was at the start of January so I'm pleased with that. We've still got scope to bring people in if we need to, if we get a couple of injuries or if we feel we need to strengthen in a couple of places."
In the meantime the manager has a fully fit squad to choose from this weekend, and hopes to welcome on loan Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones back to the club in the coming weeks.
"I spoke to him a couple of days ago and he's really pleased with his progress. Hopefully in the next few weeks we might be able to see him train with us," he added.
