Players Join The Fun at Community Sports Camps

19 February 2016

Half-Term Visits From Five First-Team Members

Five first-team players paid visits to the Community Trust's February half-term Sports Camps yesterday.

Jim McAlister and Will Aimson joined more than 80 children at Marton to take part in a kick-up challenge and presented awards, while Hayden White participated in a game of dodgeball with kids at Unity Academy.

Recent signings Mark Yeates and Danny Philliskirk held a Question and Answer session at Norbreck Primary Academy, presented a few awards and even had time for a couple of games of table football.

The Sports Camps, which take place regularly in school holidays, allow children to be cared, make new friends and have lots of fun keeping active.

"The Sports Camps are a great opportunity to get children active in their school holidays, in a fun and safe environment, Ash Hackett, Head of Blackpool FC Community Trust, said. "Having the players attending camps is a great way of allowing the young people to get to know the team, whilst enthusing and motivating the kids to take part in regular physical activity.”
