Latest Edition Of Up The Pool
We find out the latest news from Emmerson Boyce and Clark Robertson in Saturday’s edition of Up The Pool.
With Shrewsbury Town at Bloomfield Road, the defenders go under the spotlight in our feature interviews.
At 36, Boyce now has one eye on plans after football and discusses his hopes, despite still savouring every minute on the pitch.
“People who have retired keep telling me to play as long as I can because it’s obviously one of those things you can never take back. They’ve told me to not get distracted from football and concentrate on other plans later,” he said.
He is joined inside by Robertson, who is hoping to regain his place at the Seasiders to attract the attention of Scotland’s hierarchy.
“Gordon Strachan has come out and said that he’s looking to build for the future now by giving young players a chance. Hopefully it means that more players will get an opportunity to be involved,” he explained.
Elsewhere, Blackpool legend Keith Southern discusses his recent retirement and top six moments in a tangerine shirt.
We also hear from Neil McDonald, Mark Cullen and Andy Mangan in the Shrewsbury camp.
Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
