Under-14 Girls In Another Final

17 February 2016

Side Competing For Two Trophies

Blackpool's Under-14 Girls will in compete in the Lancashire and League Cup finals this season, after beating Burnley 3-0 in the semi-finals of the latter.

Sophie Slater got things underway when she smashed home Aleysha Montgomery's long range pass in the first minute, before Imogen Hill volleyed in a second prior to half-time.

Both sides battled well after the interval, but it was The Seasiders who wrapped up the game when Imogen Hill latched on to Chloe Pendleton's cross for her second and the team's third.

Manager Mac Barlow:

"It was another great performance, the build up play for two of our goals was a pleasure to watch, Montgomery's passing range was fantastic and Hill took her chances very well.

"To reach the Lancashire Cup final and the League Cup final in the same season is incredible, the players have been fantastic and have played some great football and are looking forward to the challenges ahead."
