Oldham Man Joins For Undisclosed FeeBlackpool Football Club can confirm the signing of Oldham Athletic forward Danny Philliskirk for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old, who has scored seven goals this season, has agreed an initial two-and-a-half year contract at Bloomfield Road, with the club holding an option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.
The versatile attacker started his career with his hometown club before moving to Chelsea as a teenager. Stints at Sheffield United and Coventry City followed, prior to returning to Boundary Park in 2013.
He has since made 124 appearances for The Latics, including 28 this season, and departs having scored a total of 25 goals for the club.
"When I came yesterday to meet the gaffer he made it clear how much he wanted me, he just gave me confidence straight away and that's what I want," Philliskirk told the official website. "If I'm enjoying my football then I feel as though that's when I'm at my best.
"I just want to get on that pitch and show people what I can do. I'll give 100 per cent and hopefully I'll start scoring some goals."
Clearly delighted to add Philliskirk to his squad, manager Neil McDonald added:
"I'm really pleased to secure his signature. I've watched him a couple of times this season and every time I go and watch he seems to score. We're looking forward to him scoring some goals to push us up that league on a regular basis."
