Striker On Blackpool Move
Uche Ikpeazu believes he’ll offer something different to Blackpool’s striking options after agreeing a loan move to Bloomfield Road on Thursday.
The striker, who scored six times for Port Vale earlier this season, stands at 6ft 3in, which makes him Pool’s tallest striker.
With Mark Cullen back to fitness, Ikpeazu links up with a strong squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Walsall.
“I’m a big striker and most of the other lads aren’t as tall so I might offer something aerially and on the physical side of things,” he said.
“Your main aim as a striker is to score goals and I believe I can do that and I can offer certain things on the floor.
“I spoke to Neil McDonald and I like what was said between the two of us. I felt as if I’d get an opportunity to play and show what I can do.”
The striker impressed in his 28 appearances for the Vale Park outfit and now is ready to kick-on in tangerine, starting against The Saddlers.
“I started the season quite well and after I got sent off didn’t get an opportunity to start a game but hopefully I’ll get an opportunity to get back to that form.
“I played against Walsall when I was at Port Vale and they’re a good team but the lads are buzzing off the Scunthorpe win so it should be a good test,” he added.
