Midfielder Delighted With Finishing
David Norris saw today's fine Blackpool performance coming and it was a timely boost as they put five past Scunthorpe United at Bloomfield Road.
The midfielder registered his first goal in tangerine, the fourth of the afternoon, as Pool spread out the goals.
Three points moved Neil McDonald’s men out of the relegation zone and Norris was as delighted as anyone come full-time.
“We’ve got it in our locker, we’ve produced in patches but haven’t always put the ball in the back of the net,” he explained.
"We’ve missed chances at big times in games, but today we took our chances. When we score first we tend to do really well, we got an early goal and were clinical.
“We’ve got to find that consistency now, we need to get away from the bottom to take the pressure off.”
Norris tapped home following a goalmouth scramble 55 minutes in and was pleased to see the goals spread all over the pitch.
“They’re the ones I want, the nice easy tap-ins. There were a few ricochets and it was nice to score my first goal, I enjoyed it a lot.
“We need more of it, most of our goals up until now have come from the same few people so everyone else needs to chip in a little bit and the lads are delighted in there,” he said.
