Striker On Pool Debut
New signing Danny Philliskirk was pleased to get his Blackpool debut out of the way and believes he can now kick-on in a tangerine shirt.
The striker played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s defeat to Port Vale and says it will do him good during this week’s training.
“It’s always nice to get in early and get a game under your belt, and then you start fitting in,” he said.
“You gel with players and it takes a little bit of time, but I really enjoyed Saturday, even though we got beat.”
Blackpool remained in the bottom four after their first home defeat since November, but debutant Philliskirk believes there was plenty of positives to take.
“I think there’s things there that show positives. If we just keep at it decisions like on Saturday will go our way, we would have drawn 0-0, rather than get beat 1-0.
“We’ve got to keep positive, keep our heads up and keep going,” he added.
