Potts Eyeing Scunthorpe Double

14 January 2016

Midfielder Remaining Positive Ahead Of Saturday

The scorer of the winning goal when Blackpool met Scunthorpe United back in September, Brad Potts says everyone will be ‘working their socks off’ for a repeat result this weekend.

The Glanford Park victory was Pool’s first of the campaign and the same scoreline would be the ideal remedy to end their three-game losing run, according to Potts.

“We’ve won games when we’ve been playing together as a team and everyone has worked their socks off, if we do that on Saturday I think we’ll win the game,” said Potts.

“It’s a massive game. We’ve lost our last few so we can’t wait for the next game to come along to try and put it right.

“We are in the bottom four and we need to get out of it. Our home form’s been good apart from a few games, so hopefully we can pick up as many points as possible in the next few games.”

The midfielder, who has started every league game this campaign, is also keen to add to the three goals he’s claimed in tangerine so far this season.

“I’m a disappointed I’ve not got a few more goals, but hopefully I’ll be getting a few more chances and I can score more goals during the second-half of the season.”

Alongside Potts for the majority of the campaign has been David Norris, who boasts more than 450 career appearances, and the duo are linking up well each week.

“We’ve got a good relationship when we pay together. He’s experienced from playing in The Championship and is good to play alongside because he talks to us through the game.”
