Latest Up The Pool
Mark Yeates and Brad Potts are the subject of the main interviews inside Saturday’s edition of Up The Pool.
The pair have been instrumental in Blackpool’s recent run of good results and will hope to continue that against Gillingham at the weekend.
Yeates, a January signing from Oldham Athletic, discusses family life and a career which has spanned 12 clubs.
He said inside: “All the clubs I’ve been at have been good clubs. I’ve got 400 odd appearances under my belt and still feel really fit so hopefully I can stay here for a long time at Blackpool.”
Meanwhile, his fellow midfielder Potts has been in impressive form of late, which culminated in him bagging a brace against Scunthorpe United a fortnight ago.
On nearing 150 games, Potts said: “I’m only 21 so hopefully I’ve got many years to come, but you pick things up quicker by playing lots of games at a young age. I do set challenges for myself, personal targets and I need to keep working hard to reach them.”
Elsewhere, we hear from Blackpool legend Brett Ormerod, who talks about retirement and his top six moments in a Pool shirt.
As usual we have an In The Spotlight with Danny Philliskirk and Neil McDonald provides his pre-match notes.
Gillingham striker Luke Norris provides the away perspective and talks readers through his team mates.
Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
