Searching for a mid-season boost, Blackpool will be looking to rediscover their impressive home form with a positive result against Scunthorpe United at the weekend.
The Seasiders, beaten in their last three matches, have slipped back into the relegation zone in recent weeks and face a Scunthorpe side feeling good about themselves after an impressive showing at Chelsea last week.
Mark Robins’ men sit comfortably in mid-table and are unbeaten in their last three League One matches, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic.
Mark Cullen is a doubt for the fixture, after missing last week’s defeat to Port Vale with a knock. Clark Robertson, Lloyd Jones, Henry Cameron, Martin Paterson and Andy Little remain out.
Scunthorpe are set to be without Tom Hopper and Gary McSheffrey, while Conor Townsend comes into contention after missing last weekend’s game cup tied.
Neil McDonald: “It's always a big thing for the players, to get six points out of six against a team in this league. We'll certainly be trying our best to do that.”
Mark Robins: “It was a great week. All the preparation for the game, all the press interest, all the media interest. We've got to take what we felt last week, into the preparation and the game for this Saturday.”
Darren Deadman will be in the middle for his second Blackpool game of the season on Saturday. He’ll be assisted by Marin Coy and Peter Gooch, while the fourth official will be Robert Jones.
Jack Redshaw and Lloyd Jones are the subject of the main interviews inside Saturday’s programme. Former Seasider Neal Bishop provides the away perspetice, while we also hear from Will Aimson, Tom Aldred and Neil McDonald. There’s also plenty in our Young Seasiders and history sections.
