Seasiders In Pre-Season Action

12 July 2016

Behind Closed Doors Game Against Dundee United Today

Blackpool step up their pre-season preparations with a behind closed doors game against Dundee United this afternoon.

The fixture, one of two to be arranged as part of the club's training camp in Scotland, is expected to see all five summer signings feature for the first time.

"Pre-season can be a long time without games so we're looking forward to it," manager Gary Bowyer said.

"Dundee United will provide stiff opposition under Ray McKinnon, who has recently gone in there. He's gone back home, so to speak, so it will be a good challenge for us."

Aiming to utilise his full squad and assess different playing combinations, Bowyer insists the result will not be his initial priority.

"For me, at this particular stage of pre-season, the result is not important. Seeing how we play and how we get on with each other is the most important thing," he added.
