New Goalkeeper ArrivesSam Slocombe has agreed a move to Blackpool on an initial one-year deal, with an option for a further year.
The goalkeeper, 28, joins the club following his release from Oxford United and fills the void left by Colin Doyle, who recently signed for Bradford City.
He made 23 league appearances for The U's last season, who ended the campaign by securing automatic promotion to League One.
Prior to that, Slocombe had spent seven years with Scunthorpe United and featured 135 times for the club.
"The project that the gaffer is putting together here seems quite appealing and we have a really good opportunity this season to give it a right good go," he told the official website.
Slocombe becomes manager Gary Bowyer's seventh Blackpool signing of the summer, following on from the arrival of midfielder Danny Pugh yesterday evening.
"It was important that we moved swiftly to replace Colin Doyle and in Sam we have a goalkeeper with good league experience," Bowyer said. "He's been promoted from this division with Scunthorpe United and Oxford United and is another strong addition to the squad."
