Timmins Named Goalkeeper Coach

4 July 2016

Addition To Coaching Staff

Dave Timmins has joined Gary Bowyer's backroom staff at Blackpool in the role of goalkeeper coach.

Vastly experienced, he moves to the club from League One side Port Vale, having previously worked at the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Shrewsbury Town and Carlisle United.

During his 18 years of coaching he's been renowned for aiding in the development of goalkeepers such as England international Joe Hart and Wales international Wayne Hennessey.

"Dave is widely regarded in the game and has helped shape some very good goalkeepers," manager Gary Bowyer said. "He's a strong addition to the coaching staff here at Blackpool and I'm pleased to welcome him to the club."

Timmins replaces Steve Banks at Bloomfield Road, who was recently appointed to the same role at Bradford City.
