Midfielder Targets Promotion PushColin Daniel says a couple of phone calls with manager Gary Bowyer made his mind up about moving to Blackpool, as he targets promotion with his new club.
The midfielder, who will switch to Bloomfield Road from Port Vale, has been earmarked for a wide role in the side and is determined to put a shift in for the team.
"He (Gary Bowyer) rang me a couple of times and told me his views on how he likes to play and where he sees me playing, and I agreed with it really. I was happy to get up here and get signed," he told the official website.
Although set to play out on the wing for Blackpool, his versatility will prove valuable throughout the campaign.
"I can play on either wing and I played a lot of games last year at centre forward. I can play left-back as well, so I am quite versatile," he said.
"Even during the games, if the manager wants to change it up a bit then it's good to know that he's got a player that is comfortable in different positions."
Daniel is Blackpool's third new arrival this week and he holds the same end goal as the other players set to link up with the squad this season.
"It's a massive club and it shouldn't be in League Two. Hopefully if I can perform well on the pitch, and obviously help my team-mates to perform well on the pitch as well, then I think we can get out of this division and get this club back to where it should be," he added.
