Club Secretary To Leave Position

2 March 2016

Alford To Take Up New Role Closer To Home

Blackpool FC Club Secretary Nick Alford is to vacate his position at Bloomfield Road on 16 March.

Alford, who was appointed to the role in the summer, has made the decision for family reasons and will now take up a position closer to home.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and worked alongside some terrific people but with my family based in the South and a new opportunity having arisen, the time is right for me to leave," Alford said.

"I wish the club all the very best for the future and will always keep a close eye on their results."

Blackpool FC Chairman Karl Oyston added: "I would like to place on record my thanks to Nick for his hard work and dedication to the role since his appointment in June.

"Although disappointed to lose him, I fully understand his reasons for leaving the club and wish him every success for the future."

The process of appointing a new Club Secretary is currently underway.
