Programme Preview: Bury

24 March 2016

Good Friday Programme

Mark Cullen and Luke Higham take centre stage in the Good Friday edition of Up The Pool for the visit of Bury.

The pair starred in Blackpool’s 2-1 victory at Crewe Alexandra last weekend and hope to retain their places against The Shakers.

Discussing Pool’s survival chance, Cullen said: “We’re all here and we all know what we need to do, we need men in the changing room and we’ve got that. If we stand up and are counted, then we’ll get what we deserve.”

The last three games have seen the emergence of Luke Higham into the first-team and the full-back is pleased to be making an impact at his boyhood club.

Higham said: “Football’s a game of opportunities and when you get one you’ve got to take it. I just kept knocking on the door and was training hard.”

Elsewhere, we hear from former Seasiders favourite Steve Harrison, who discusses the top six moments of his Blackpool career in the 1970s.

Returning with Bury, Peter Clarke provides the away perspective, discussing his team mates and hopes for Pool's survival, as well as The Shakers.

As usual there is a full section for Young Seasiders and Neil McDonald provides his pre-match notes.

Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
