The Opposition Guide: Millwall

4 March 2016

A Look At Tomorrow's Opponents

Blackpool will be back on the road again tomorrow, as The Seasiders visit Millwall for a Sky Bet League One fixture at The Den.

The fixture between the two sides earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw.

We take a look at the opposition:

Millwall’s all-time record goalscorer, Neil Harris was appointed manager on a permanent basis in April 2015.

The former striker, who had two stints as a player with the club, initially stepped up to take caretaker charge of The Lions following the departure of former Blackpool manager Ian Holloway a month earlier.

Unable to keep his beloved side in The Championship, the 38-year-old has since been tasked with rebuilding the club and mounting a challenge for an immediate return.

Millwall are unbeaten in their last three league outings, having followed up victory against Peterborough with draws against Doncaster Rovers and Wigan Athletic.

Since the turn of the year the Lions have lost just two league games and currently sit fifth in the table on 55 points, as they aim to at least secure a place in the play-offs.

Lee Gregory leads the goalscoring charts for Millwall with 20 in all competitions so far this season.

The former FC Halifax Town man, who joined The Lions in the summer of 2014 for an undisclosed fee, has built on the nine goals he scored in his debut season and formed a formidable with Steve Morison.

The Sheffield-born striker is the designated spot-kick taker for Millwall and loves to play off the shoulder of defenders.
