Manager On Vassell And Matt's Strike Partnership
Gary Bowyer says he wouldn't like to be a defender marking either Kyle Vassell or Jamille Matt at the moment.
The pair, both on target against Notts County last weekend, have struck up a promising partnership in recent weeks and still have more to give.
Vassell has become the first Blackpool player to hit 10 goals by this stage of the season since Tom Ince in 2012, while Matt has two goals in his last two appearances and has been praised for his selfless displays.
"I don't know which one I'd want to mark and play against because they both present problems for defenders in different ways, and it's very difficult to combat that," Bowyer said.
"But the pair of them have still got a hell of a lot of improvement in them, and we've been working on that this week."
In terms of other options, the manager expects to have a fully fit squad available for the trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
"Danny Philliskirk had a bit of illness at the beginning of the week but we're at that time where we're going to get little bugs and illnesses like that. He's been back in training today so we're fully fit," he added.
