Daniel: Bounce Straight Back

24 November 2016

Winger Looking For Right Response

Colin Daniel hopes Blackpool’s strong home form will see them return to winning ways against Newport County on Saturday.

The Seasiders lost for the first time in seven matches in mid-week and must react quickly to regain a play-off spot.

“We seem to do well at home. Newport have had a few good results but I think we can do well and get the three points.

“The team is looking fitter and stronger as well, it was disappointing on Tuesday but hopefully we can get back to winning ways on Saturday.

“Although they’re bottom of the league, it’s very tight at the moment so I think it will be a tough game and we’ll have to put everything into it to get the three points.”

Daniel has been a regular for Blackpool, who have claimed wins against the higher-placed teams in the division, and the winger believes they are fearless.

“In every game we’ve played well and probably been the better team on the day and we’ve been disappointed not to get the results, but with our run recently we’ve been good.

“Every game we’ve played we’ve been probably the better team. We’ve seen the majority of teams now and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be pushing for the play-offs,” he added.
