Match Preview: Notts County (H)

Attention Swings Back To League

Fixture | Blackpool vs Notts County
Date | 12 November 2016
Venue | Bloomfield Road

Through in two cup competitions, now Blackpool are looking to complete the ideal week with three League Two points against Notts County.

The Seasiders are still fighting on three fronts but the league remains the priority and victory is likely to push Gary Bowyer’s side into the top half.

On home soil they’ve lost just once all season and victory over Doncaster Rovers recently showcased the ability in the Pool squad.

Notts County arrive inside the play-offs and unbeaten in their last three in the league, meaning John Sheridan’s side are likely to be a tough nut to crack.

Recent Form
Blackpool moved past Kidderminster Harriers and Everton Under-21s in recent cup games and took four points from six in the league, beating Doncaster and drawing 2-2 at Cheltenham Town.

Notts County’s cup ties didn’t go as smoothly, as they were taken to a replay by Boreham Wood and bowed out of the Checkatrade trophy. However, they recently won at Portsmouth and drew with Luton Town and Crewe Alexandra.

Team News
Dean Lyness and Jack Redshaw remain Blackpool’s only certain absentees but Jamille Matt will have to prove his fitness after being substituted against Kidderminster last weekend.

Notts County are doing without nine-goal striker Jon Stead currently, but they could welcome back Jordan Richards and Alex Rodman who missed Wednesday’s game with niggles.
