Winger On Crawley Defeat
Colin Daniel felt Blackpool’s defeat at Crawley Town summed up their start to the season, with The Seasiders’ missed chances costing them dearly.
Gary Bowyer’s side had enough clear-cut chances to have a comfortable lead at the break, but instead went on to lose in West Sussex.
Daniel spoke of his frustration, after a controversial winner cost Pool against The Red Devils.
“We had our own chances to win the game but we didn’t quite put them away,” he said. “It was very frustrating.
“I think it’s a foul on the goalkeeper, but they’ve scored from a corner and we need to start putting away our chances.
“Like we’ve shown in our performances, we’ve been more than capable of getting three points in probably all the games so we’re a bit disappointed to not get the points and be higher in the division.”
Daniel replaced Andy Taylor after the left-back broke his nose in the first-half and the former Port Vale man was happy to slot into a defensive role.
“I don’t mind playing left-back, I’ve played there in the past.
“It’s not my natural position but I’m more than capable of playing there and if the Gaffer wants me to play there I’m happy to,” he added.
