Donnelly Relishing FA Youth Cup Test

31 October 2016

Blackpool Face Bolton Wanderers In First Round

Ciaran Donnelly is looking forward to seeing how his side fair in the first round of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday, as they face Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium.

Blackpool's Academy Manager will come up against former Head of Academy Coaching Gavin McCann, who has returned to his former club to develop youngsters there.

"I spoke to Gav as soon as the draw came through and we're both looking forward to it. He knows our team very well and we think it's going to be a really good game," Donnelly said.

"It's certainly a great draw at a great stadium for our lads to play at, as well as a terrific platform for them to go and show their stuff and that we have a good academy here at Blackpool."

Admission to the fixture, which kicks-off at 7pm, is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions and Donnelly hopes Blackpool fans take the opportunity to watch his side in action.

"Hopefully we'll get some good support with it being a local game. We've got some very good players and I'd encourage the fans to come and see who we have coming through the system."
