Pool Head To Gloucestershire
Fixture | Cheltenham Town vs Blackpool
Date | 29 October 2016
Venue | Whaddon Road
After finally coming from behind to register a win last time out, Blackpool’s latest hoodoo to break is recording back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.
The Seasiders have failed to build on victories so far this season but travel to Cheltenham Town in good spirits after last weekend’s Doncaster Rovers success.
Those three points moved Gary Bowyer’s men into a healthier position and into the pack of teams hunting down the play-off positions.
Cheltenham sit just a point behind The Seasiders and a five-game unbeaten run has seen the recently-promoted side move to within a point of Pool.
Blackpool recovered from an early set-back to win their first game of the month last weekend. Brad Potts (2), Kelvin Mellor and Kyle Vassell helped dispatch of Doncaster, after the disappointment of defeat at Accrington Stanley the previous week.
Cheltenham won at Grimsby Town last weekend which saw them build on the momentum of three points against Crawley Town the previous week. Billy Waters was on target with the only goal at Blundell Park.
Bowyer has no fresh injury concerns, meaning Dean Lyness and Jack Redshaw are the only members of his squad unavailable for selection.
Striker Danny Wright returns from suspension for The Robins but the game comes too soon for James Rowe and Dan Holman.
