Potts: Time To Kick-On

23 October 2016

Midfielder Wanting A Run Of Results

Brad Potts is looking for Blackpool to build on their impressive win over Doncaster and string a good run of results together.

The Seasiders came from behind to register a strong win against Rovers which pushed them to within three points of the play-offs.

Potts himself struck twice at the weekend and insists Blackpool must kick-on from here.

“We know we need to be more consistent so hopefully next weekend we can produce a similar performance and get the result,” he said.

“After going 1-0 down we knew we had to react, and from last weekend too. We had to keep doing our jobs and stick together, and thankfully we got the win.

“A lot of people would have written us off before the game but we know what we’re capable of and on our day we can beat anyone.”

Potts’ two goals took him to six for the season and his second, from a free-kick, was particularly pleasing.

“I was unsure whether to shoot or not, but it was too straight to put the ball in so I spoke to few of the lads and I thought I’d have a shot.

“For the first ‘Vass’ has seen us and it’s a quick free-kick, it caught them off guard and thankfully I scored.”
