Winger On Three Deserved Points
Colin Daniel was pleased Blackpool finally turned a good performance into three points, after Gary Bowyer’s men chalked up their first away win of the season on Saturday.
The Seasiders hit Yeovil Town for three without reply, with Daniel scoring his first and second goals for the club after the break.
Good performances have been pretty constant this season without being rewarded, so Daniel was delighted Pool found their killer instinct at Huish Park.
“We’ve had the performances but not come away with the three points recently,” Daniel explained. “On Saturday we did it as a team and if we keep doing it we can start pushing up the table.
“From the start of the season we’ve been defending well, we just haven’t had the luck at the other end, so the Gaffer told everyone to push forward as much as we could.”
The former Port Vale man thumped home a stunning opener in Somerset and rounded off a neat move with the killer second goal to seal victory.
“I had in my head that we needed to score a goal, we haven’t scored in the last couple of games, although we’ve had good performances, so I thought ‘why not?’
“It’s been a while since I’ve scored so I’m happy to have helped us to three points away from home. It was a good performance and clean sheet,” he added.
