Striker Developing Well At Blackpool
Armand Gnanduillet believes a strong start to his Blackpool career has helped him quickly settle into his new surroundings at Bloomfield Road.
After joining from Leyton Orient in August, the imposing striker has hit three goals this month and is now forging a strong partnership with Kyle Vassell up front.
With Blackpool becoming Gnanduillet’s sixth English club, the Frenchman is now determined to settle and build on a positive start in tangerine.
“It’s been a good month for me because I scored three goals and got one assist, but it’s not just about me, it’s about the squad,” he said.
“When you’re new it’s good because you just want to score again. I haven’t scored in two games, so I’m not happy, but we’ve played well and beat Portsmouth which is the important thing.”
The early signs are positive that Gnanduillet and Vassell will work well together, with the pair setting each other up in front of goal in recent weeks.
“It’s getting better, obviously I was new so I had to learn to play with every player. It’s getting easier with Kyle because we’ve played up front for a few games.
“He gave me one assist, I gave him it back and I think we’re doing well but we can do even more.”
The faith of Gary Bowyer is getting the best out of Gnanduillet, who believes he is developing well under his new manager.
“He used to manage Blackburn with Rudy Gestede, and I am a little bit like him, so he knows what I have to do on the pitch.
“He also knows where I need to learn so I listen to him and try to do what he asks me to,” he added.
