Seasiders Travel To Somerset
Fixture | Yeovil Town vs Blackpool
Date | 3 September 2016
Venue | Huish Park
Back on the road this weekend, Blackpool travel to Yeovil Town looking for a first away win of the season at Huish Park.
The Seasiders got back to winning ways in the Checkatrade Trophy in midweek but will now look to add league points to their tally.
Gary Bowyer’s men have produced performances to merit more than the five points they’ve picked up so far, and now travel to a Yeovil side four places below them.
The Glovers themselves won in the cup in midweek but have lost their last three League Two fixtures and sit on four points.
Kyle Vassell struck twice as Pool saw off Cheltenham Town on Tuesday, but they took just one point from consecutive home games in the league, losing out to Plymouth a week ago.
Similarly, Yeovil beat Portsmouth in the cup, but were hammered at Doncaster last weekend, which came after defeats to Mansfield and Morecambe.
Blackpool will be without the suspended Jack Payne, who saw red against Plymouth on debut last weekend. The fixture will come too soon for Danny Philliskirk, Jack Redshaw and Jamille Matt. Dean Lyness comes into contention to make his third Blackpool debut after rejoining the club on Wednesday.
As for Yeovil, Kyle Copp could make his league debut. However, they’ll be without Bevis Mugabi who picked up two yellow cards in last week’s defeat to Doncaster. They’re set to welcome back Artur Krysiak and Kevin Dawson, who were rested in midweek, while Ryan Dickson looks likely to feature once more.
