Honest Assessment From Full-Back
Andy Taylor insists Blackpool must move on quickly from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Colchester United.
The Seasiders shipped three sloppy goals in Essex, which saw them slip back into the bottom half.
The defeat was Pool’s first in three away from home and Taylor knows the importance of not dwelling on the disappointment.
“We’ve got to bounce back,” he insisted. “It’s a disappointing result but football’s brilliant at giving you another opportunity right around the corner.
“We should have pressed home our advantage after we went 1-0 up, but we’ll have to pick ourselves up and go again next week.
“There were decisions we felt could have gone our way that went against us, so all in all it was a disappointing afternoon.”
Brad Potts’ free-kick gave Blackpool hope late in the day and Pool’s left-back believes that showcased the belief in the Pool camp.
“One thing we’ve got is a good team spirit and we keep going until the end, we never know when we’re beaten.
“Even when we went 3-1 down we didn’t give up, managed to get one back and were pushing for an equaliser.
“We go again next week, address the game in the same way and if we keep performing well I believe the results will come,” he added.
