Manager Upbeat Despite Late Defeat
Gary Bowyer says Blackpool's late defeat to Luton Town was a harsh one to take after such a well drilled away performance.
A 90th minute winner from Ollie Palmer sealed all three points for the home side, though the manager remained upbeat about the overall display.
Speaking post-match, here's what he had to say...
Tough result to take.
We've come here and had a right, good go today. We played some good football, created some great chances - their goalie has made a hell of a save from Bright Samuel in the first-half and then a fantastic save from Kyle Vassell. The way we played and how we went about it was terrific today from us. It was just harsh at the end.
It took us a little bit to get into the game but after that we settled down and played some terrific stuff and gave Luton problems, I felt. We have to take that now and dust ourselves down and respond the way that we have done all season.
No faulting effort.
We were tactically spot on with how we set up and went about it. The chances we created - Mark Cullen's had a great opportunity in the first-half - so I'm pleased with the effort and the way that they've played. Obviously we're disappointed with the outcome but we go again.
Substitutions of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Brad Potts.
It's just a knock for Bright so we'll assess that over the rest of the week and see how he is. Pottsy was just cramp, he was ill at the beginning of the week so he hadn't trained and just cramped up at the end.
Responding to disappointment.
It shows you what we're capable of and what we've got to do now is respond and go again.
