Youth Team Face Bury Tonight
Ciaran Donnelly says he's relishing taking his side to Bury this evening for the final of Lancashire FA Youth Cup.
The youth team, who have reached this stage of the competition in three of the last four seasons, will be aiming to lift the trophy for the first time since 2008.
"I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a fitting end to what’s been a really good season for the Under-18s and I know the lads are very excited about it too and want to win the trophy,” the club's Academy Manager said.
“We think we can put in a really good performance to bring the trophy back to Bloomfield Road."
The final gives Blackpool fans the chance to see the likes of Jack Sims, Denzel Williams and Caleb Richards in action, having recently signed their first professional contracts at Blackpool.
“It’ll be a great occasion at Gigg Lane and I know they’re making every effort to get lots of people into the ground.
“It would be great to have as many Blackpool fans there as possible. The lads love to have the backing of the Blackpool supporters.
“I would encourage any fans to come to the game and see what we do at the academy and the style of football that we play."
Admission to the final at Gigg Lane, which kicks-off at 7pm, is priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.
