Preview
After their first defeat in ten matches, Gary Bowyer is looking for a response from his Blackpool players when they take on Grimsby Town this weekend.

The Seasiders slipped out of the play-off places after suffering late heartbreak against Luton Town last weekend and are now looking for an instant response.

Grimsby arrive sat in mid-table but have beaten a number of sides sat inside the play-offs already this season, displaying their capabilities.

Recent Form
Defeat at Luton ended Pool’s nine-match unbeaten run which had seen them rocket towards the top seven. Prior to that they’d won three on the spin against Stevenage, Newport County and Hartlepool United.

Grimsby were well beaten by league leaders Doncaster Rovers last week, going down 5-1. Previously they drawn 1-1 with Crawley Town and Accrington Stanley, responding from a 4-0 defeat to Portsmouth.

Team News
Bowyer has the luxury of selecting from a near fully-fit squad, with only Jim McAlister missing out through injury. Armand Gnanduillet has returned from injury to be in contention.

Akwasi Asante is a doubt for Grimsby with a thigh strain and he’ll join Scott Vernon on the injury list should he miss out.
