Pool Head To Meadow Lane
Fixture | Notts County vs Blackpool
Date | 29 April 2017
Venue | Meadow Lane
Blackpool know three points at Meadow Lane will put their fate well and truly in their own hands going into the final game of the season, with the play-off charge in full swing.
The Seasiders, who boast an impressive goal difference, have won two on the spin and sit sixth with just two games remaining, the first of which comes at Notts County.
The play-off picture will look clearer come 5pm on Friday and victory on the road, which would be their ninth of the season, could push Pool up to fifth.
Notts County have enjoyed a resurgence under Kevin Nolan and have their League Two status secure for another season, but only Portsmouth have won at Meadow Lane in 2017.
The Seasiders have won consecutive matches to catapult themselves back into the top seven with two games left. A dramatic victory at Doncaster Rovers was followed up by three points against Cheltenham Town last weekend.
Notts County are without a win in three, after pulling themselves out of trouble. A 2-2 draw with Crewe Alexandra was followed up by defeats to Portsmouth and Luton Town, however their form at Meadow Lane is solid.
Blackpool will be without Jim McAlister and Jamille Matt for the trip, other than that Gary Bowyer has a fully-fit squad to select from.
Nolan will be without manager Michael O’Connor, who ruptured his ACL against Portsmouth. Marc Bola and Rob Milsom are also expected to miss out.
