Payne Not Dwelling On Defeat

3 April 2017

Midfielder Remaining Positive

Jack Payne insists Blackpool must not dwell on their defeat to Luton Town and bounce back the right way.

The Seasiders lost for the first time in ten matches on Saturday and slipped out of the play-off places in the process.

Six games remain for Pool and Payne is still optimistic, despite the defeat.

“We know we’ve got the characters in there to bounce straight back,” he said. “We played well so it’s a gutting feeling but we can’t get too down.

“Everyone’s down in there but we know there’s going to be ups and downs between now and the end of the season."

Blackpool sit two points outside the top seven and Payne is under no allusions of the task ahead.

“We don’t need to look at the other teams. We know if we win the majority of our games we’ll be where we want to be.

“We’re hurting in there but we know what we want to do this year so we’ll keep ourselves level and go again next week,” he added.
