Fixture | Rochdale vs Blackpool – Date | New Year's Day – Venue | Spotland
Blackpool will aim to kick-off 2018 on the right note tomorrow, as the team face Rochdale at Spotland.
The Seasiders head into the fixture on 29 points for the campaign, with the home side currently on 22 points.
Last Time Out:
Viv Solomon-Otabor's late leveller salvaged a point for Blackpool after a spirited fight back to draw 2-2 with Plymouth Argyle. For the second consecutive match, though, The Seasiders gave the opposition a two-goal start, and manager Gary Bowyer will quickly want that eradicating in order for his side to progress back up the table.
Rochdale, meanwhile, played Doncaster Rovers on Friday night but fell to a 2-0 defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium. First-half goals from Ben Whiteman and Alfie May proved the difference.
Andy Taylor has joined Kyle Vassell and Mark Cullen on the sidelines after tweaking his hamstring against Plymouth. Ollie Turton could return though, with the manager contemplating changes with two games in quick succession.
Rochdale have a couple of injury concerns to contend with themselves. Ex-Blackpool striker Steven Davies was forced off against Doncaster Rovers, while Joe Rafferty missed the game due to injury.
