Clark Robertson was pleased to make a welcome league return for Blackpool, yet disappointed to be on the end of a defeat to Rotherham United.
The defender, who made his first start in Sky Bet League One since mid-October, put in a typically composed display at the back, despite two late goals condemning The Seasiders to a 2-1 loss at Bloomfield Road.
“It was good to be back. I’ve been out for six, seven weeks and I’m just delighted to get back on the pitch earlier than I thought.
“I thought I played well and I thought we played well as a team in the first-half, we created a lot of chances and could have been maybe more than 1-0 up at half-time.
“In the second-half, apart from the two set-pieces, I don’t think they really troubled us. I still think we were the better team and we should have taken all three points. We’ve got to be better in both boxes again.”
The 24-year-old insists goals like those conceded yesterday are a collective responsibility, and admits everybody needs to step up at both ends of the pitch.
“It’s not just the defenders defending set-pieces, it’s all of us. We’ve got to take more responsibility as a team and then personally stop our man from scoring.
“At the other end, we’ve got to take our chances. We had two or three chances in the second-half on the counter attack when we could have put the game to bed.
“We’ll stick together this week and hopefully go again next weekend to try and get the three points.”
