Venue | Bloomfield Road
Attention swings back towards League Two on Saturday, as Blackpool look to regain ground on the chasing pack with victory at Cambridge United.
The Seasiders are five points off the play-offs but can get themselves in the mix if they end Cambridge’s seven-match unbeaten run.
They travel with an impressive recent run of results away from home, with Gary Bowyer’s men having taken seven points from nine available.
Cambridge have been on a tremendous run of late and are fighting for a top seven spot themselves, giving the game added importance.
Blackpool have been in cup action recently and were beaten 1-0 by Mansfield Town in their last league game. They have looked good on the road however, not conceding a goal in three and picking up maximum points against Stevenage and Hartlepool United.
Cambridge haven’t tasted defeat since November and have won six of their seven matches since then. Although beaten by Leeds United in the FA Cup, they’ll be confident, having recently hammered Notts County on home soil.
Colin Daniel will once again miss out for Blackpool with a hamstring injury, but he’s the only absentee.
Cambridge could hand debuts to new signings Jake Carroll and Paul Lewis, who joined the club this week. Brad Halliday is hoping to return from injury to be in contention.
