Date | 2 January 2017
Venue | Bloomfield Road

Preview
Having ended 2016 with four points from six, Blackpool will target maximum points against Mansfield Town to conclude the festive period and begin the new year on a positive note.

The Seasiders beat Hartlepool United before battling for a point at Grimsby Town, and are now back on home soil looking to get back to winning ways in Lancashire.

Gary Bowyer’s men sit a point outside the play-offs and know victory could see them leapfrog into seventh ahead of two cup games.

Mansfield travel without a win in in five matches, since beating Blackpool in November.

Team News
Mark Yeates is the only definite absentee for Pool. Colin Daniel is hopeful of making his return from injury, while Bowyer may be required to use his squad for their second game in three days.

Evans could hand debuts to Joel Byrom, Jake Kean and Ben Whiteman, who all joined Mansfield upon the turn of the year.

Recent Form
The Seasiders picked up a creditable point at Grimsby on New Year’s Eve, making it four points from six over the festive period. They were beaten last time out on home soil to Luton Town so will want to get back to winning ways.

Mansfield drew 1-1 with promotion-chasing Doncaster Rovers on New Year’s Eve, after losing at home to Morecambe on Boxing Day. Last time on the road they lost 2-0 at Exeter City.
