Pool Back On Home Soil
Fixture | Blackpool vs Yeovil Town
Date | 21 January 2016
Venue | Bloomfield Road
After the ecstasy of FA Cup success on Tuesday, Blackpool now fine tune their focus to League Two and a vital clash with Yeovil Town at Bloomfield Road.
The Seasiders could move to within two points of the top seven and picked up a point in their last league outing at Cambridge United last weekend.
Having relied on his squad in mid-week, and been rewarded at Barnsley, Gary Bowyer is expected to once again call on a number of different personnel to come to the fore.
Yeovil are experiencing a mixed season, hitting the heights of sixth in December, where they’ve fallen from since, taking them to 16th in League Two.
Spirits are high after Pool knocked Barnsley out of the FA Cup in mid-week, with Bright Osayi-Samuel the hero in the final minute. Sam Slocombe stole the headlines three days earlier at Cambridge, saving a penalty to earn Pool a point at the Abbey Stadium.
Yeovil are without a league win in six matches, but did pick up a creditable point at Wycombe Wanderers last weekend. They’ve won just two matches on the road this season and currently sit four points behind The Seasiders.
Bowyer must deal with a glut of injuries when preparing for the game. Andy Taylor, Eddie Nolan, Colin Daniel, Jack Payne, Brad Potts and Kyle Vassell are all an injury doubt for the contest. Sanmi Odelusi could come into contention to start.
Shayon Harrison could make his Yeovil debut after joining the club on loan from Tottenham, however Ryan Hedges and Otis Khan miss miss out through injury.
