Bright Osayi-Samuel believes the early signs are positive that this latest Blackpool squad is gelling into a team.
The Seasiders’ squad split on Saturday and hit 11 goals across friendlies with Salford City and Radcliffe FC.
The 19-year-old starred in the Salford success, where Pool produced some eye-catching football, which Osayi-Samuel was pleased to be a part of.
“This is where we get to link up and gel as a team,” he said. “We’d been doing shape throughout the week, working on linking up and one-twos.
“When the team does well you know what you’re working hard on is paying off. To be scoring four goals as a team is great, but then again we can’t be letting in three.”
Osayi-Samuel, who netted five times last season, has two goals and three assists so far this pre-season and can feel himself improving day by day.
“For me to get two goals and an assist (against Salford) is good, so I just want to keep pushing on.
“All the staff have me in the gym, making me stronger. I’m trying to improve on all my weaknesses in training and it showed on the pitch.
“There’s plenty I need to improve on and I want to continue to do that,” he added.
