Curtis Tilt believes everyone in the Blackpool squad deserves a start at Bradford City next weekend and hopes he’s done enough himself to get the nod.
The Seasiders prepared for the season opener with a 2-0 win at Macclesfield Town and Gary Bowyer has a week to decide on his starting eleven at Valley Parade.
Tilt partnered Clark Robertson at Moss Rose and thinks they worked well on their way to keeping a clean sheet.
“We have to work out who is the best partnership and I thought me and Clark coped well,” he said.
“We’ve all been mixing in but hopefully I can get a starting place on Saturday.
“There’s competition all over the pitch, everyone deserves to start on the back of pre-season so it’s down to the Gaffer who starts and hopefully we can start with a win.”
After a slow start to the Macclesfield friendly, Pool improved after the break and Tilt believes consistency will come with game time.
“Second-half we were much better, we got into the flow of moving the ball quicker, getting it wide and supporting ‘Cully’ as much as we could.
“We made it awkward in patches when we weren’t keeping the ball, but other than that I thought we did it quite well,” he added.
