Bowyer: Put Run Of Victories Together

14 March 2017

Manager Previews Stevenage Fixture

Gary Bowyer says Blackpool must put a run of wins together and build on the momentum in place at the moment.

The Seasiders, who face Stevenage at Bloomfield Road this evening, are currently unbeaten in six matches and sit just three points outside of the play-offs.

"It's no secret that, while we've performed very well throughout the season, it's been about having that consistency of putting results and wins together," the manager said.

"We've got to put a run of victories together in the last 10 games and with what I've seen over the last couple of weeks, this squad is more than capable of it."

Tonight's opposition arrive on the back of a winning run themselves, with eight victories in their last nine Sky Bet League Two fixtures taking them to fourth in the table.

"We're aware of the challenge that lies ahead but it's one we're looking forward to and we're going into it full of confidence on the back of two mightily impressive performances. We've shown that we can go and play football at Plymouth and then we've shown that we can compete with the physicality and style of Wycombe.

"Stevenage have the ability to play and they're very dangerous from set-plays but it's down to us and how we go about our game, imposing our style on the opposition."
