Manager Looks To Secure Play-Off Place
Gary Bowyer says Blackpool must continue to focus on their own capabilities and put in another good performance to secure a place in the play-offs.
The Seasiders sit seventh in Sky Bet League Two ahead of facing Leyton Orient tomorrow and know that three points will guarantee a spot in the end of season promotion shake-up.
"These are the games that you play football for, it's as simple as that," the manager said. "We've got to be looking forward to days like this, and hopefully more.
"We've got ourselves in a great position and now it's about actually getting across the line. We'll do that by the effort and commitment we've shown all season.
"It's a great equation for us in the sense of us knowing exactly what we've got to do. We've just got to keep focused on our own performance and on our own result. We've got to produce a performance that we know we can do at home and we know we're more than capable of doing."
Orient arrive at Bloomfield Road having been officially relegated last month, however the visitors will want to bow out with a performance for their own supporters.
Nothing is a given in football and Bowyer has seen enough in the London club's recent results to know what to expect.
"Leyton Orient went to Luton recently and drew 2-2 so we know what they're capable of and we know what football's like. It's about us going about our business, looking after ourselves and getting on the front foot and playing to that potential we know we're capable of," he added.
