Manager Looks For More In Play-Off Semi-Final Second Leg
Gary Bowyer expects further improvement from his Blackpool side going into tonight's play-off semi-final second leg at Luton Town.
The Seasiders, who hold a one-goal advantage from the first leg, have reviewed various aspects of their 3-2 victory on Sunday evening and highlighted things to work on.
"We went through the game as a staff and then with the players and identified areas where we feel that we can improve even further," Bowyer told the official website.
"I honestly don't think many people expected the type of game that it was! Thursday night could be very much the same or it could be completely different. What we've got to do is really concentrate on our own performance and do what we've done well all season."
Having won away at the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Carlisle United and Doncaster Rovers this season, plus at Barnsley in the Emirates FA Cup, the manager will be looking for his players to replicate a similar performance at Kenilworth Road.
"The away performances have been particularly impressive and we've got to go and try and do that again. We know it's going to be a tough challenge, we know that they're a good team, but we showed on Sunday what we're capable of and what we're about. We've got to go and reproduce that again."
Though Blackpool have the narrow lead, there will be no change in the usual approach that has served the club well throughout the campaign.
"We've always tried to win every game that we play in and that's the objective at the start of the game. We'll certainly go with that attitude," Bowyer confirmed.
