9 May 2017

Former Player and Coach To Depart Bloomfield Road

Academy Manager Ciaran Donnelly is to leave his position at Blackpool to take up a role elsewhere.

The 33-year-old, who has served the club as both a player and coach for a combined total of 13 years, recently guided the youth team to a trophy double and has helped shape the development of the club’s emerging youngsters.

“I would like to place on record my appreciation to Blackpool Football Club for the opportunities I’ve had while at Bloomfield Road,” Donnelly said. “It has been an amazing experience, I’ve worked with lots of fantastic staff and felt an immense sense of pride seeing the development of the academy in the last six years.

“We have some fantastic players coming through at all ages and I know I leave behind some good people and coaches who will build on the foundations that have been laid in the academy.”

Blackpool Football Club would like to thank Ciaran for all his hard work and dedication in the academy and wish him well for the future.
